Hi there. Carly Fisher here. I'm a writer based in New York City with a book about where to find cool things in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. I also produce custom storytelling, strategies and content design for brands of all sizes. More on that here.

You can find my words on food, wine, travel, cannabis, and sensory experiences at-large in places like GQ, Fodors Travel, Plate Magazine, Bon Appetit, Edible, Food & Wine, Saveur, and Wine Enthusiast. My work on CNN Travel's interactive digital feature, "Family Meal" picked up a James Beard Foundation Award nomination in 2018. Along with writing, I've been featured as a talking head in New York Magazine, Travel Channel, NBC, EightFortyEight, and a guest speaker at Baruch College, the Women Chefs and Restaurateurs Conference, and Food Writers' Workshop.

I run a popular newsletter called Pipe Dreams by The Weed Witch, an inbox wildcard and content sample platter that includes interviews with a mystic feminist head shop owner in Mexico City, permaculture-obsessed French winemakers using hempcrete as part of their Net-Zero sustainability goals, and digging into the memoirs from one of San Francisco's most legendary canna-families from the 1980s. Be forewarned: if you try one of my recipes in this book, I can't guarantee that you won't astral project. Snoop Dogg once trusted me to write about edibles for Merry Jane, and Leafly let me serve as their weed astrologer, so that's all I will say about that.

When I'm not writing, I am frequently getting lost in search of happy accidents at delicious places. You can also find me mentoring kids at 826NYC, popping in at God's Love We Deliver, or doing mensch-y stuff for Dorot. I like my water like my personality: sparkling.
